1. Who runs the site

The site is run by Stojan Petković, a private individual (the author), as a personal project. It is not a company site, does not represent a legal entity and is not run on behalf of any employer, client or other legal person.

2. Independence and conflicts of interest

The site and all content on it (projects, blog, tools, calculators, models, courses and texts) is made by the author in his own name and at his own expense. Therefore:

• No data, document, procedure, software, estimate, business or technical information or other material that belongs to an employer, a client or a third party and has not been published is used. The data in the projects come from publicly released sources named with each project.
• Nothing on the site represents the view, policy, data, estimate, recommendation or statement of any employer, company or institution. The author does not speak on their behalf and has no authority to do so. The author's employer has no connection with the site in any way and is not responsible for its content.
• Companies, institutions, products and sources are mentioned only to identify public sources and facts. This is no endorsement, recommendation, cooperation or criticism.
• The content is not an offer, an advertisement or an invitation to a business relationship in the field of the author's employer, nor is it meant to compete with the employer or its clients.
• Work on the site must not affect, and does not affect, the author's performance of his duties to his employer.
• Any additional engagement of the author must comply with his duties to his employer, with the law and with trade secrets, with all necessary consents, and is agreed separately, outside this site and its content.
• If you believe any content improperly uses confidential information, or gives the impression of speaking on behalf of a company, get in touch through the Contact page. The content will be checked promptly and, if needed, corrected or removed.

3. For information only

The content of the site is general and informational. It is not engineering, technical, legal, financial, investment or other professional advice. It is not a design, a feasibility study, a resource assessment or an expert opinion. It creates no client–adviser relationship and no obligation on the author. Before any decision, consult qualified professionals and the competent authorities.

4. Tools, calculators and models

The tools, calculators and models on the site give approximate results from the stated formulas and assumptions. They are no substitute for design calculations, company procedures, manufacturers' instructions, regulations or the instruction of the responsible person. Do not use them as the only basis for work on wells, work under pressure, work with nitrogen or other safety-critical actions.

Errors, incompleteness and out-of-date data are possible. The user checks the inputs and the results. The geothermal potential models show an order of magnitude from public data; they do not replace a test of the well, an assessment of the workover, a feasibility study or contractors' quotations.

5. Public data and third-party sources

The data come from publicly released sources and are named with the content. The author does not guarantee their accuracy, completeness or currency, is not the author of those sources and is not responsible for them. Copyright in the sources, images and maps belongs to their owners; the authors and licences are named with the content (for example OpenStreetMap, OpenTopoMap and Wikimedia Commons). Links lead to third-party sites over which the author has no control.

6. Services and commercial communication

The site is above all informational. The content of the projects, the blog, the tools and the courses is not an offer of services. Any services named on the Services page are agreed separately, in writing, and only if they do not conflict with the author's duties to his employer, with the law or with trade secrets. The author reserves the right to turn down any enquiry because of a conflict of interest or for any other reason. Sending an enquiry through the contact form creates no obligation on the author and no contract.

7. Copyright

Unless stated otherwise, the texts, graphics, models and code of this site are protected by the author's copyright. Quoting is allowed with the source named and a link. Any other copying, reproduction or commercial use needs the author's prior written consent. Third-party data remain under their owners' licences.

8. Messages, comments and conduct

If the site allows comments or messages, it is forbidden to post unlawful, offensive or misleading content, confidential data of third parties or employers, or content presented as the view of a company. The author may remove such content without notice. The processing of personal data (the contact form, cookies) is covered by the privacy notice with the form and by the cookie settings.

9. Limitation of liability

The site and its content are provided “as is”, with no warranty of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by law, the author is not liable for any damage (direct or indirect, lost profit, damage to a well, equipment or property, injury, loss of data, investment decisions) arising from the use of the site or reliance on its content, nor for the site being unavailable. This does not exclude liability that cannot be excluded or limited by law. You use the site at your own risk.

10. Changes and governing law

The author may change these terms. Changes apply from publication; the date of the last change is given at the top. The law of the Republic of Serbia applies, and disputes fall to a court in the Republic of Serbia, unless mandatory consumer protection rules provide otherwise.
